Terms of Service
Last updated: June 28, 2026
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are a legal agreement between you and CourseConnect AI LLC (“CourseConnect,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) governing your access to and use of our website at courseconnectai.com, web application, native mobile app (including beta builds), browser extension, mobile share extension, and related services (collectively, the “Service”).
CourseConnect AI LLC is a duly organized and validly existing limited liability company under the laws of the State of Georgia, formed on June 26, 2026. By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. Definitions
- Service means the CourseConnect website, web app, mobile app, browser extensions, APIs, and related features.
- User Content means syllabi, documents, chat messages, flashcards, lecture recordings, transcripts, grades data, and other materials you upload, sync, record, or create through the Service.
- Account means your registered profile used to access the Service across web and mobile with the same login where supported.
2. Eligibility & Accounts
You must be at least 17 years old to use the Service. You agree to provide accurate account information and keep it current. You are responsible for safeguarding your credentials and all activity under your Account. Notify us immediately at support@courseconnectai.com if you suspect unauthorized access.
You may sign in with email and password or through third-party sign-in where offered. Third-party sign-in is also subject to that provider's terms.
3. Description of the Service
CourseConnect helps college students organize coursework and study more effectively. The Service may include:
- Uploading and parsing syllabi to extract deadlines, grading policies, and course structure
- AI-powered tutoring grounded in your course materials
- Flashcards, quizzes, and study tools
- Importing assignments and grades from learning-management systems via our browser extension or mobile share features
- Calendar subscription feeds for deadlines
- Push notifications and proactive study reminders
- On mobile: home-screen widgets, live activities, lecture recording with transcription and AI summaries, and beta features
Features may vary by platform and may change as we develop the product. Beta builds may be less stable and are provided for evaluation purposes.
4. Extensions & Grade Sharing
When you use our browser extension or share a grades page from your mobile device, you choose to send learning-management page data to CourseConnect for parsing. You represent that you have the right to access that information and that importing it does not violate your school's policies or any agreement with your institution or LMS provider.
CourseConnect is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any university, college, or learning-management system vendor. Third-party trademarks belong to their respective owners.
We may use automated parsing to interpret shared pages. Parsed data may require your review before it is applied to a class. You are responsible for verifying accuracy against official LMS sources.
5. Lecture Recording
If you use lecture capture, you must comply with applicable law and your institution's recording policies. Do not record classes or conversations where recording is prohibited or without required consent. You are solely responsible for how you use recordings and transcripts.
Lecture features may use your device microphone and speech recognition. Audio and transcripts may be processed on your device and on our servers to provide summaries and tutoring context.
6. Changes to the Service & Terms
We may modify features or these Terms to improve the Service or comply with law. When we make material changes, we will update the “Last updated” date and provide notice where appropriate (e.g., email or in-app notice). Continued use after changes become effective constitutes acceptance.
The Service is actively developed. Features may be added, changed, or removed. We appreciate feedback during beta periods.
7. Termination
You may stop using the Service and delete your Account at any time where that option is available, or by contacting support@courseconnectai.com. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms, if required by law, or to protect the Service and other users.
Upon termination, your access ends. Provisions that by nature should survive (including ownership, disclaimers, limitations of liability, and dispute resolution) will survive. You may request export of User Content before deletion where technically feasible.
If we discontinue the Service, we will use reasonable efforts to provide at least 30 days' notice and an opportunity to export User Content, but we cannot guarantee uninterrupted availability.
8. Your Content & License to Us
You retain ownership of your User Content. By submitting User Content, you grant CourseConnect a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, process, and display your User Content solely to operate, provide, and improve the Service — including tutoring, grade import, and cross-device access with the same Account. We do not sell your User Content.
9. Acceptable Use & Academic Integrity
You agree not to:
- Use the Service to cheat, plagiarize, or violate your school's academic integrity or honor code
- Submit AI-generated work as your own where your institution prohibits it
- Upload or sync content you do not have the right to use
- Harass, abuse, or harm others
- Reverse engineer, scrape, overload, or disrupt the Service
- Use the Service for unlawful purposes or to access LMS accounts or data without authorization
- Record lectures or conversations where prohibited by law or school policy
The Service is a study and organization aid. It does not replace attending class, reading official materials, or communicating with your instructors. You are solely responsible for ensuring your use complies with institutional policies.
10. Fees & Payment
Core features are currently free during beta. If we introduce paid plans or subscriptions, we will disclose pricing and obtain your consent before charging you. Refund terms for any paid features will be stated at purchase.
11. Third-Party Services
The Service may integrate with or allow sign-in through third-party services. Your use of those services is subject to their own terms and privacy policies. CourseConnect is not responsible for products or services operated by other companies.
12. Intellectual Property
CourseConnect owns the Service, including software, design, branding, and documentation, except for User Content and third-party materials. You may not copy, modify, or distribute our proprietary materials except as permitted by these Terms.
13. Copyright Complaints
If you believe content on the Service infringes your copyright, email support@courseconnectai.com with identification of the work, the infringing material, your contact information, and a statement of good-faith belief. We may remove content that we determine infringes rights.
14. Disclaimers & AI Limitations
AI inaccuracy: The Service uses artificial intelligence that may produce incorrect information (“hallucinations”) about deadlines, grades, policies, or course content. You must independently verify all AI output against official sources from your institution and LMS.
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE.” TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT UNINTERRUPTED, SECURE, OR ERROR-FREE OPERATION, OR THAT GRADE IMPORT OR PARSING WILL BE COMPLETE OR ACCURATE.
15. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, CourseConnect AI LLC and its members, managers, employees, and agents will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of the Service.
We are not liable for academic penalties (including failing grades or disciplinary action) resulting from your use of the Service or reliance on AI output. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service will not exceed the greater of (a) amounts you paid us in the twelve months before the claim or (b) one hundred U.S. dollars ($100).
16. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless CourseConnect AI LLC from claims, damages, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from your User Content, your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any law or third-party rights — including unauthorized LMS access or prohibited lecture recording.
17. Governing Law & Disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Georgia, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Except where prohibited, you agree that disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Georgia, and you consent to personal jurisdiction there.
Before filing a claim, please contact us at support@courseconnectai.com so we can try to resolve the issue informally.
18. General
- These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, are the entire agreement between you and CourseConnect regarding the Service.
- If any provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect.
- Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver.
- You may not assign these Terms without our consent; we may assign them in connection with a merger or sale.
