Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 28, 2026
This Privacy Policy describes how CourseConnect AI LLC (“CourseConnect,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, and shares information when you use our website at courseconnectai.com, our web application, our native mobile app (including beta builds), our browser extension, and our mobile share features for importing grades (together, the “Service”).
CourseConnect AI LLC is a duly organized and validly existing limited liability company under the laws of the State of Georgia, formed on June 26, 2026. We operate CourseConnect AI as a legitimate business entity registered with the Georgia Secretary of State.
1. Information We Collect
Depending on how you use the Service, we may collect:
- Account information: Email address, display name, profile photo, authentication identifiers (including when you use third-party sign-in), and optional academic preferences (e.g., school, major, graduation year).
- Course and study content: Syllabi and other documents you upload, extracted deadlines and course metadata, chat messages with our AI tutor, flashcards, quizzes, notes, and study history.
- LMS and grades data: When you choose to import grades or course data — using our browser extension or mobile share features — we may process assignment names, due dates, scores, and related course context from the pages you choose to share.
- Lecture recordings: If you use lecture capture on a supported device, we process audio you record, speech-to-text transcripts, and AI-generated summaries, titles, and key points derived from those recordings.
- Device and usage data: Browser type, device model, operating system, app version, IP address, pages or screens viewed, feature usage, crash logs, and analytics events.
- Push notification tokens: Device tokens used to deliver reminders, grade alerts, and proactive study nudges on web and mobile.
- Communications: Messages you send to us via contact forms, support email, beta feedback, or waitlist signup.
- Payment information (if applicable): If we offer paid features in the future, we do not store full card numbers on our servers.
We do not sell your personal information, track you across unrelated websites for advertising, or collect precise GPS location for marketing purposes.
2. How We Use Information
- Provide and operate the Service — including syllabus parsing, AI tutoring, deadline tracking, grade import via our extensions, flashcards, calendar feeds, and push notifications.
- Personalize your experience using your course context, grades, and study history.
- Process lecture recordings into transcripts and study summaries when you use that feature.
- Match shared grades pages to the correct class in your account.
- Send account, security, and product messages (including beta communications).
- Monitor performance, debug issues, prevent abuse, and improve features.
- Comply with law and enforce our Terms of Service.
3. AI Processing
CourseConnect uses automated analysis to power tutoring, syllabus reading, lecture summaries, and parsing grade pages you choose to share. We send only the information needed for each feature — such as your question, syllabus excerpts, or lecture transcript — to generate a response.
We do not use your content to train CourseConnect's own models. AI output may be inaccurate — always verify deadlines, grades, and policies against official sources from your school and LMS.
4. Platform-Specific Practices
Website & web app: We use cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember preferences, and measure product usage. See Section 8.
Browser extension: Our extension reads learning-management pages only when you start a sync on a course page you are viewing. Parsed data is saved to your CourseConnect account.
Mobile app & share extension: On supported devices, you can share a grades page to import scores into CourseConnect. If you use lecture capture, audio is processed on your device and may be sent to our servers for transcription and summaries. The mobile app may show deadlines on your lock screen, during recordings, and via push notifications.
5. What We Do Not Do
- Sell or rent your personal information to advertisers or data brokers.
- Share your course materials or grades with your school, professors, or classmates unless you direct us to or we are legally required to.
- Use your study content to train proprietary CourseConnect AI models.
6. How We Share Information
We do not sell your personal information. We may share information only in these situations:
- Legal and safety: When required by law, subpoena, or court order, or to protect rights, safety, and integrity of users and the Service.
- Business transfers: In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to continued protection of your information.
7. Data Storage & Security
Your data is stored on secure cloud infrastructure, primarily in the United States. We use encryption in transit (HTTPS/TLS), access controls, and industry-standard security practices. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure; use a strong, unique password and keep your device secure.
8. Cookies & Analytics
On the website, we use cookies and similar technologies to:
- Maintain your login session
- Remember theme and preference settings
- Measure feature usage and diagnose issues
You can control cookies through your browser settings. Disabling cookies may limit some website functionality. Our mobile app does not use browser cookies but may use local storage and similar technologies.
9. Age Requirement
The Service is intended for college and university students who are at least 17 years old. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 17. If we learn that a user under 17 has created an account, we will delete it. By using the Service, you represent that you meet this age requirement.
10. Your Rights & Choices

- Aggregated or de-identified analytics may be kept longer.
12. School & LMS Relationships
CourseConnect is a student productivity tool. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or acting on behalf of any school, college, university, or learning-management system provider.

If you access the Service from outside the United States, your information may be transferred to and processed in the U.S. By using the Service, you consent to that transfer.
14. Changes to This Policy
